The Toronto Jets were founded in 2013 and are a non-profit, minor football organization run solely by volunteers. The Jets are members of the Ontario Football Alliance, the province’s governing body, and Football Canada.
The Jets will practice outdoors at Esther Shiner Stadium from the first week in April until the mid-May (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) and then at Northview Heights Secondary School (Tuesday and Thursday) until the end of the season.
In 2020, the age divisions are as follows:
Senior Varsity – players born in 2002, 2003 and 2004
Junior Varsity – players born in 2005 and 2006
Bantam – players born in 2007 and 2008
Peewee – players born in 2009 and 2010
The season begins with outdoor practices the first week in April. Each team plays one game per week on the weekend as follows:
The Peewee division usually plays its first game the second weekend in May and the championship is held on the Canada Day weekend.
The Bantam, Junior Varsity and Senior Varsity divisions play their first games on the Victoria Day weekend and the championship is held on the first weekend in August.
All Jets’ teams will play their home games at Esther Shiner Stadium.
The Peewee division plays 3 away games (not including playoffs) and their opponents could include, but are not limited to Cambridge, Hamilton, Clarington, Pickering, Beeton and Woodstock.
Bantam, Junior Varsity and Senior Varsity divisions play 4 away games (not including playoffs) and their opponents could include, but are not limited to Woodstock, Cambridge, Orangeville, Aurora, Beeton, North Bay, Sudbury and Clarington.
The season’s registration fee is $600 if paid in full on or before March 1, 2020 and $650 after March 1, 2020. There is a $150 equipment deposit of which $100 will be refunded to you when all equipment is returned, the remaining $50 will be used to condition helmets and replace damaged equipment.
All players must purchase insurance from the Ontario Football Alliance prior to the first practice.

All equipment with the exception of cleats are provided by the Jets. On equipment handout you will receive an equipment bag, helmet, shoulder pads, practice jersey and pants.
